Engineering JADE Agents with the Gaia Methodology

چکیده
Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE) is one of the fields of the agent domain with a continuous growing interest. The reason is that the possibility to easily specify and implement agent-based systems is of a great importance for the recognition of the add-value of the agent technology in many application fields. In this paper we present an attempt towards this direction, by proposing a kind of roadmap of how one can combine the Gaia methodology for agentoriented analysis and design and JADE, a FIPA compliant agent development framework, for an easer analysis, design and implementation of multi-agent systems. Our objective is realized through the presentation of the analysis, design and implementation phases, of a limited version of a system we currently develop in the context of the IST IMAGE project.

The Gaia2Jade process for multi-agent systems development
& In this paper we present the Gaia2JADE process concerning how one can implement a multiagent system with the JADE framework using the Gaia methodology for analysis and design purposes. This process is particularly dedicated to the conversion of Gaia models to JADE code. It is described using the Software Process Engineering Metamodel (SPEM) and extends the one proposed by FIPA for describing ...
متن کاملMGAIA: Extending the GAIA Methodology to Model Mobile Agent Systems
Mobile agents are a class of software agents that have the ability to move from host to host and are particularly relevant for mobile and distributed applications. The development of several mobile agent implementation environments has necessitated conceptual modelling techniques for mobile agent applications. In this paper, we present mGaia, our extension of the Gaia Agent Oriented Software En...
متن کاملMASCF: A generic process-centered methodological framework for analysis and design of multi-agent supply chain systems
Multi-agent systems (MAS) are becoming popular for modeling complex systems such as supply chains. However, development of multi-agent systems remain quite involved and extremely time consuming. Currently, there exist no generic methodologies for modeling supply chains using multi-agent systems. In this research, we propose a generic process-centered methodological framework, Multi-Agent Supply...
متن کاملEvaluating the Lifecycle Coverage of GAIA Methodology
Agent Oriented Software Engineering (AOSE) is one of the latest contenders in the historic development of programming paradigms. AOSE promises to be an exciting new software engineering approach with techniques more suited to the construction of large, complex software systems than those techniques belonging to the object oriented approach. To be a viable concept, there is a need for a uniform ...
متن کاملEngineering Cooperative JADE Agents with the AMCIS Methodology: The Transportation Management Case Study
This paper discusses in detail important analysis and design issues emerged during the development of an agent-based transportation e-market. This discussion is based on concepts coming from the AMCIS methodology and the JADE framework. The AMCIS methodology is specifically tailored to the analysis and design of cooperative information agent-based systems, while it supports both the levels of t...
